Baccalieu Energy Inc. holds a 100% working interest in 8000 acres in a Pembina area prospect located in townships 53 and 54 ranges 8-10W5. The prospect contains potential for light oil (35-42 API) in the Duvernay shale. The property offsets strong horizontal wells drilled by Teine Energy and Crescent Point Energy, with oil production of over 300 bbls/d achieved. Existing well control shows the presence of over 15 meters of oil-bearing shale on the block.
